  1. Why was Give to Guatemala 2020 cancelled?

    We decided to cancel Give to Guatemala 2020 due to safety and travel concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. There is the possibility that the project my go ahead in 2021, but we have not determined this as of yet. We will leave the project information up on our website for those who may be interested in this or other future projects.

  2. Where is this project taking place in Guatemala?

    We are going to the northern department (region) of Peten, Guatemala.

  3. Why did Sperro choose the non-profit God’s Helping Hands Inc. (GHH) to support in Guatemala?

    Sperro chooses it’s projects based on the personal connections. We always seek to partner with non-profits who were recommend to us by people we trust. We always seek to work with non-profits that are well established within the community, and understand the needs of those they are seeking to help. God’s Helping Hands Inc. checked all of these boxes.

  4. Is the work being done religious in nature?

    Sperro always focuses on humanitarian, non-religious charity work.

  5. What type of work will we be doing?

    The work will be split between construction work and community work.

  6. What type of skills do I need for this project?

    Everyone has experience and skills which are useful, and will be used. You do not need to have a specific skill set to participate.

  7. What will a typical day look like?

    We will still start our day very early in the morning, eat breakfast, and then work on the construction portion of the project until noon. After lunch, part of the group will continue with the construction, and another group will dedicate the rest of the day to community work. We aim to structure the day around a typical 8 hour workday, but this may change depending on the needs of the project.

  8. What is the cost to join?

    The cost is $1299 CAD. This is an all inclusive price which includes flight, accommodation, meals, project costs, travel insurance, local transportation and other incidental costs. If you are coming from the United States, the cost is $599 plus the cost of your flight.

  9. What are the dates for the project?

    May 15 to May 25. There is the possibility of our flight leaving on May 14, however (this detail is still yet to be determined).
